Well I just looked up the AQHA show schedual an there are several I plan to attend over this summer all starting in May. It will mostly be halter with the young ones and just gaining experience for everyone, but I can not wait to see how they do! I will keep posted our progress and how we do in training as well as how our first shows go! Wish us luck!
We have several new prospects in to get started. Some are coming much faster and easier than others and have already accepted the saddle as well as a rider, while others are still working on accepting the halter as something that is not there to eat them. The two older mares, Rose and Cowgirl, are coming along MUCH faster than the geldings that are the same age and. We are planning to start showing Zoey and Drifter this season in a few open local shows in events such as: roping, cutting, barrels and possibly sorting. Zoey is riding wonderfully for the young girl who is using her here at our place. Cowboy is being finished out under Morgan Snyder, we hope to know by the middle of next month about how his reining training is coming along.
