There are so many different types of horse people in the world, more than just English VS Western. Theres is different training methods, feeding methods, different things everyone looks for in choosing the right stud to breed their mares to, or just choosing the new member to their family, there is so much difference in what everyone wants and expects so I guess my question is, being a fellow horse person and very open minded to everything, why cant everyone just agree to disagee? Why must things always boil down to nasty comments about not agreeing with, the look, care, or riding style of a certain breeder, rider or horse?
On another note we retrieved Cowboy from the person who was supposed to be training him, note i said supposed. He had the horse a total of 32 days, my poor boy came home with huge gashes in where the cinch runs. As a fellow trainer I would be disgusted with myself to have a horse leave my property in the condition of which I picked my horse up, he how ever was very pleased with himself. He did not even so much as ride the horse infront of me to show what he has supposedly learned. I rode him several times during the week and the horse didn't appear to know any more than when he left. Not wanting to be judgemental I had another trainer come and put their opinion on Cowboys 30 days of training and confirmed what I knew, the saddle was thrown on, cinched up and left. I am thoroughly disgusted with the methods and things this man has pulled beside marking up a client horse, poor communications and lack of professionalism. And yes I did call several references on him that gave him great words, amd thoroughly inspected the horses at the facility that he allowed me to see that is.
